These are a series of graphic notes I captured at the 2024 Indiana Water Summit, a 2-day event in Indianapolis sponsored by the White River Alliance and held at the Beautiful Biltwell Event Center in Indianapolis.
I don’t get a chance to capture science topics very often, but as a former environmental educator, I really enjoy it.
The session on PFAS chemicals especially caught my attention. This particular topic, presented by a panel of researchers – the “forever chemicals” – was serious and sobering, but being able to draw it with simple imagery makes it accessible and educational to many, even if you are not a scientist or academic or other type of expert. And that, I think, is one of the best things about graphic recording.
