Nextech is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding the reach of K-12 Computer Science education throughout the state of Indiana. One of their marquee programs is a virtual conference for high school students called Nextech Navigate, where high student students from around the state join with their teachers and classmates to learn more about technology, opportunities in Indiana, and where they might have a future career in tech.
I listened in live and graphically recorded the keynote presented by Dennis Trinkle – an industry executive who discussed myths and misunderstandings of tech jobs – in addition to several related breakout sessions on cyber-security, gaming careers, and women in tech.
